Thanks to our partnerships we can help ensure the safety and wellbeing of even more lives across the UK.
We know that by working together with other organisations our impact is amplified.
We are always very keen to work with other organisations to improve access to legal services especially for Survivors of trafficking and torture, children and survivors gender based violence, who make up the majority of the clients we represent.
We are currently working closely with the Liverpool Law Clinic, Jesuit Refugee Services, and London Legal Support Trust to enhance our clients representation and access to specialist legal support.
We work with City Law Firms on our Statelessness project to ensure those who have no country to call their own are able to find the legal protection they need in the UK. We are keen to work with others to build their practice in this area.
We are also part of a consortium with Age UK Westminster, Westminster Citizens Advice to provide vulnerable migrants in the centre of London with the support to access the welfare services.
We’ve come a long way and have a long way to go. If your organisation would be keen to work alongside us, please get in touch.
COMPASS: THE ASYLUM AID ADVISOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
In 2023, in partnership with the Justice Together Initiative, we launched a programme of training, supervision and peer support for immigration advisers working in advice deserts across England and Wales.
As experts in complex asylum, human rights and trafficking cases, we train Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) level 2 advisers to take on more complex asylum and human rights casework in areas across the country where there are legal ‘advice deserts’.
Led by our expert supervisor with over 25 years of experience, we offer in-depth training for advisers from refugee organisations, who would otherwise struggle to afford this support, as well as shadowing opportunities, intensive legal supervision, monthly group clinical supervision, and peer support groups.
Through this programme, we are growing capacity within the immigration and asylum sector, creating a more sustainable advice sector.
Applications for our next cohort are now open!
100% this is worth the investment of time. It’s changed everything for me as an adviser. I’d encourage anybody to do it who needs more confidence.
