Asylum Aid is moving to a new office

We are excited to tell you that Asylum Aid is moving to a new office. We will be sharing the office with staff from the Helen Bamber Foundation. This move is a positive change for us, as it will help us to better serve our community. We invite you to learn more about this change and how it will benefit our mission and clients.

When will the new building be open to clients?

We plan for the building to be fully open for client appointments from the week of 21st October 2024 onward. We will let all existing clients know about our new office address before we move to the new building and remind them about the change ahead of their first appointment in the new office.

Will there be any changes to current services?

Until we move to the new building we will continue to have client appointments at our current office address at Derry House.

Will anyone help me to find the new office?

We will help you find the new office by giving you a map with clear directions and pictures, and our staff are making a video which shows you what the journey will look like from nearby stations and bus stops.

Will the Asylum Aid staff be the same?

Yes. The same staff will be working from the new office building and your existing Asylum Aid representative will remain the same after the move.  We will also be sharing the new office with the Helen Bamber Foundation, whose clients will be also coming to the building. The reception staff in the new office will be from the Helen Bamber Foundation and will let your caseworker know when you arrive for your appointment. Our current Legal Administrator, Yvette, will continue to answer our phone line and respond to email enquiries.

Will I feel safe and comfortable in the new office?

The new office is specially designed for the work we do. The appointment rooms will have sound proofing, and we will have small areas to sit outside of appointments where you can feel comfortable to sit when you need a break from your appointments.

How will I know when my appointments have moved to the new office?

We will inform you when the new office is open to clients, and we will always let you know the location of your appointments in advance. If you are unsure, please phone or email your caseworker before your appointment to check.

We look forward to welcoming you to Asylum Aid’s new office!
