Raising funds is vital to ensuring we are able to continue providing high quality legal representation and to using that casework experience as the evidence base for our lobbying and campaigning. Do you think you might be able to get involved? Below are a few easy ways you could:
SELL GREETING CARDS: Would you consider encouraging your friends and family to buy Asylum Aid greeting cards? Download an order form.
RECOMMEND US TO A FRIEND: Help us increase our membership and support base. Pass on our newsletter and call us for recruitment forms and information about our work.
Volunteer in your local area - organising your own fundraising event
Thank you to those of you who hosted events during Refugee Week and sent us money in support of our work.
Organising your own event can be really rewarding and enjoyable for both you and the other people involved; whether it's in your workplace or school or with friends or family. In summer 2007 the Goodenough College Women's Forum organised two performances of The Vagina Monologues as part of V-Day, a global movement to end violence against women and girls. £1,350 was raised and donated to Asylum Aid's Refugee Women's Resource Project.
Asylum Aid is happy to provide a speaker to speak to your school, place of worship or community group about asylum-seekers and refugees.
"Thank you for coming to speak to our Year 12 students. They obviously learned a great deal from your talk as evidenced by the quantity and quality of the questions they asked. I've never seen them quite as involved as this before - so thank you." Graveney School, London
