- We will spend your money wisely
Out of every £1 you donate 88p is spent directly on providing protection to asylum-seekers through our advice and policy work. Only 12p is spent to raise a further £1.
- We will provide high-quality legal advice for our clients
In 2009 we achieved a success rate of 85% in cases where we either represented clients at appeal hearings or instructed counsel on their behalf. This is three times the national average.
- We will continue to speak out against injustice
Our joint campaigning work has achieved a number of critical successes, including some of the recent changes to the asylum process. The government's plans include: better access for clients to independent legal advice and representation.
- We will continue to help the most vulnerable
Our focus is on the protection needs of women and unaccompanied children. We provide a telephone advice line, welcome enquiries by post and email, run a legal outreach surgery programme and take referrals from a wide network of organisations including refugee community organisations and local authority social services departments.
