- We will spend your money wisely
Out of every £1 you donate 88p is spent directly on providing protection to asylum-seekers through our advice and policy work. Only 12p is spent to raise a further £1.
- We will provide high-quality legal advice for our clients
In 2005-06 we achieved a success rate of 60 per cent in cases where we either represented clients at appeal hearings or instructed counsel on their behalf. This is three times the national average.
- We will continue to speak out against injustice
Our joint campaigning work has achieved a number of critical successes, including some of the recent changes to the asylum process. The government's plans include: better access for clients to independent legal advice and representation.
- We will continue to help the most vulnerable
Visiting detention centres, hospitals and prisons, we are making our service accessible to those in greatest need. We also specialise in addressing issues of gender persecution - through our Refugee Women's Resource Project.
- We will improve the quality of legal advice in the sector through our information service and training
