Statelessness & a change to immigration rules
On April 6, changes to the immigration rules introduced a Statelessness Determination Procedure in the UK for the first time. Such a procedure was the keynote recommendation of the joint Asylum Aid/UNHCR report 'Mapping Statelessness in the United Kingdom' (2011).
This briefing provides background to the problem of statelessness in the UK, along with information on how the new procedure works, who it is intended to help, and how to access further information and advice.

Missed Out
Thanks to your hard work, women seeking asylum in the UK have been promised better treatment by the Home Office.
